Missouri Valley Basketball Referee Camp

Missouri Valley Conference Referee Camp is complete and overall I learned a lot. My major take aways from this camp are:

1. Solid Mechanics, Loud Voice - When you have those plays that everyone knows is a foul there is no need to sell the call but you still need to use your voice.

2. There is a difference between hustle and being to quick - At my size (6-5) I hear sometimes that it doesnt look like I am hustling out there. So I try to run from spot to spot. The problem is when I make a foul call I take off right away and it makes my calls look less creditable. I just need to wait a second (act like my feet are in cement) and then take run out to the table…in the college game.
