Mendy Rudolph - Induction into Basketball Hall of Fame

Below is an email I received from my Basketball Success System Membership…

Tonight in Springfield, Mass., there will be a moment worth recognizing as the late Mendy Rudolph will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Mendy will join Laker Coach Phil Jackson and others as members of the 2007 Hall of Fame class.

Mendy’s induction is worthy of reflection as what he meant to all of us in the basketball officiating community.

Mendy had an incredible feel for the game and was an exceptional manager of play in high pressure, emotional situations. He had a mentoring mentality, had a deep knowledge and understanding of the rules and their application, and was an incredible partner — the kind of official who made the game and his partners better.

Basketball officials at all levels should be pleased to know that one of their own is being given basketball’s most prestigious honor.

 All the Best,

Ed T. Rush

Former NBA Director of Official
